Dr. Brian Grady, Ph.D., R. Psych.

Dr. Brian Grady is
a registered psychologist (#1189), who has been working in
rehabilitation and behavioural medicine since 1993. He obtained his
M.A. (1988) and Ph.D. (1994) in Clinical Psychology from Simon
Fraser University. Since his post-doctoral fellowship at WCB, he has
been focusing on chronic pain management and chronic illness at a
multidisciplinary pain clinic. He works in this area because of a
long standing fascination with the interplay of mind and body in
creation of health and illness. He has written a free self-help
website for people learning to cope with chronic pain and illness 10
Resolutions.

- His treatment approaches are
tailored to fit the client, but he uses mostly
cognitive-behavioural therapy, adding biofeedback, EMDR and
self-hypnosis when appropriate.

- He prefers to work with clients
dealing with mood disturbances, relationship issues, stress,
trauma and problems that develop from disability, chronic
illness or pain. He focuses on improving quality of life,
improving work return potential and helping clients understand
and manage their condition.
