| Dr. Sidhu received
her graduate degrees in Psychology from the
University
of
British Columbia
. She began her career in the field of psychology in 1990 and since
has worked in a variety of contexts as an educator and therapist.
Dr. Sidhu has experience working with issues of children, teens,
couples, and families. Within the rehabilitation context, she has
worked with such issues as trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and
chronic illness, to promote a person’s ability to return to
optimal functioning in his/ her personal and work life.
Dr. Sidhu’s work with adults primarily involves cognitive-
behavioural therapy integrated with clinical hypnosis, experiential,
and art techniques, as relevant to the unique needs and issues of
the individual. Her work with children and teens also incorporates
aspects of the Adlerian approach. In her work with diverse clients,
Dr. Sidhu attempts to utilize a culturally sensitive framework. Dr.
Sidhu speaks English, Punjabi, and Hindi. |
