Dr. Lynda Grant, Ph.D., R. Psych.
BHC Associate
(North Vancouver)
- Dr. Lynda Grant has worked as a
therapist since 1982. She deals with a wide range of
psychological difficulties including trauma, anxiety,
depression, relationship issues, stress related difficulties and
those issues specific to living with a disability or chronic
illness such as chronic pain. She is primarily a cognitive-behavioural therapist, but also uses emotion focused therapy,
EMDR and hypnosis if this is what will help a person move
forward. She believes that a strong working relationship, a
sense of safety and an individualized treatment approach are the
keys to effective psychotherapy.
- Lynda is also an educator and
has taught a number of courses to counselling students at Simon
Fraser University, the University of British Columbia and to
disability management students through the National Institute
for Disability management and Research.
